Downtown fund-raiser draws $241,000 in pledges from throughout the city.

Downtown Action Team President Pat Bryan said today that new money pledged in support of Albuquerque's Downtown revitalization efforts proves the campaign is a communitywide effort.

"Money is not just coming from Downtown folks," Bryan said. "We are getting pledges from businesses that are not located Downtown but that understand the larger impact of having a healthy Downtown district."

About 30 business people gathered for a fund-raising dinner at the Hyatt Regency Tuesday night and pledged $241,000 to help finance the Downtown Action Team's continuing efforts to reinvigorate Albuquerque's …
