More military news today: Audrey E. Liddy and Scott R. Montoya completed the cadet basic training program at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.

Liddy is a 1999 graduate of Capitol High School in Santa Fe, and Montoya is a 1999 graduate of Sandia Preparatory School in Albuquerque.

John M. Burns graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Advanced Camp at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wa.

Burns, the son of James and Joanne Burns of Albuquerque, graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1996.

Army Reserve Spec. Andrew A. Montoya returned to the United States from Central America after serving as a member of the U.S. Joint Task Force-Aguila, a humanitarian relief effort assisting the people of Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador in recovering from the damage caused by Hurricane Mitch in October 1998.

Montoya is the son of Joe A. and Marcella M. Montoya of Santa Fe.

Army Pfc. Joey M. Vergo arrived at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga., to complete basic military training.

He is the son of Tina C. Vergo of Albuquerque.

Army Privates Watker Zeck and Raymond Gallegos arrived at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga., to complete basic military training.

Zeck is the son of Maurice Zeck of Santa Fe.
