For Twin Mountain Construction II Co., one of the biggest jobs in the firm's history begins today.

Not long after being selected as the apparent low bidder for the Big-I reconstruction project, the Albuquerque company scheduled the first of many meetings with state Highway and Transportation officials about the effort, scheduled to begin in June.

Excited Twin Mountain II officials were thrilled to learn they submitted the low bid, but said they know the real work is only beginning.

"We'll have a conference (today) to review the bid documents," said Van Groves, Twin Mountain president.
