TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES A state district judge has ruled that a woman who pleaded guilty to being involved in the Elephant Butte sex-torture case cannot change her plea.

Judge Neil P. Mertz also requested during a hearing Tuesday that a presentence report be prepared for Cynthia Lea Hendy, meaning she could be sentenced within four to six weeks.

Hendy pleaded guilty to two counts of accessory to kidnapping, two counts of accessory to criminal sexual penetration and one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping in connection with the kidnappings and sexual tortures of two women.
