Though Eddie Abreu may not wear a basketball uniform again for the Valley Vikings, he is still welcome on the school's football team.
Vince Collins, the head football coach at Valley, said that although he is concerned that Abreu shoved the school's basketball coach Joe Coleman during a game last week, the two-sport star's status with the football squad is unaffected.
"Of course it bothers me," Collins said. "I don't think he would ever do that to me, but as a coach, you wonder where that comes from."
