New Mexicans awarded for work in tech industry.(Business)

The New Mexico Technology Showcase named four winners of its 2000 New Mexico Showcase Award, which recognizes people who have made a difference in New Mexico's Information Technology industry.

They are state Rep. Raymond Sanchez, state Sen. Pauline Eisenstadt, Hank LeMieux and John Gonzalez.

Sanchez, who is House speaker and a North Valley Democrat, was recognized for his support of the information technology industry in New Mexico. This year he sponsored the Technology Jobs Tax Credit Act. In 1972, he helped launch the Industrial Development Training Act.
