Vice President Al Gore should ask President Clinton for campaign help but not invite him to speak on the same stage.
That's the advice offered by Christine Sierra, an associate professor of political science at the University of New Mexico, during a public lecture Wednesday on "The Latino Vote in Election 2000."
In her talk at UNM, sponsored by the Raza Graduate Student Association, Sierra noted that in New Mexico, as in the nation, Gore, the Democratic Party nominee, and Republican candidate George W. Bush, are "running neck and neck" with the election less than two weeks away.
