Suspect arrested in Downtown knifing.

With a fresh stab wound in his kidney, Casey Cunningham chased after his attackers before noticing his injury, according to court records.

While Cunningham's chase last Tuesday didn't last long, Albuquerque police did pick up the trail, and on Sunday they tracked down a suspect in the attack on Cunningham.

Police arrested Dwight Emery Quam, 35, near a Downtown homeless shelter Sunday evening. He was booked into City-County Jail and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Quam is being held on a $60,000 cash or surety bond.
