The Albuquerque Board of Education has approved two more charter schools for opening in the fall of 2001, bringing the total number of the schools approved this year to five.
Four others are already operating, which means that if all the schools approved this year open their doors the city will be home to nine charter schools at the start of the 2001-2002 school year.
