* You probably noticed the minute you picked up this month's issue that Cosmo's Cover Model Search has finally come to a conclusion--and Adair Howell is our winner! She had supertough competition going up against three other gorgeous finalists, but she's the lucky lady who got the most reader votes. Turn to page 61 to learn all about her

As you start to flip through the page's of tiffs issue, you'll see that the magazine is organized quite a bit differently. All of our columns and articles are grouped in special sections to make it easier for you not only to read the magazine but also to find what you're looking for.

Cosmo had the same layout for many years, and it was based on old-style magazine design: shorter, less-visual articles in the front of the magazine followed by a center "well," where you'd find a mix of relationships stories, celeb features, news, self-help, fashion, and beauty. But I've felt for a while that this approach is extremely dated. I don't know anyone who reads magazines from front to back, starting with quieter pieces and working their way to the big features. Most likely you start with your favorite columns or something that enticed you on the cover, then skip around to whatever you're in the mood for.

I wanted to make it a breeze to find stuff. Plus, this design brings a great new energy to the magazine, I think. Besides, it's always good to shake things up now and then. Drop me an e-mail at youtellcosmo@hearst.com and let me know what you think.
