Thalia is a hot presence--and not only on the MTV Music Awards or in Kmart's apparel section. Her new label includes a substantial collection of domestics designed to boost Kmart's appeal to Hispanic consumers.

While some retailers have extended color lines and include a few products with particular ethnic appeal in certain geographies, for the most part, retailers treat home goods as they once treated other parts of the store--with the mass in mind.
