City clerk gears up for council election;.(Evening)

Had enough of voting yet? If not, you're in luck absentee voting is about to begin for City Council elections.

City Clerk Judy Chavez this week began mailing applications for absentee ballots to thousands of people who have previously voted absentee.

Others who wish to vote absentee can obtain applications either by phone, mail or in person.

To be eligible for an absentee ballot, people need to be a registered voter in the city of Albuquerque.

If an application is accepted, the City Clerk's Office will mail a ballot to the applicant.
