Introduction
Today we live in a socio-politico-cultural- landscape where questions of 'power', 'space' and 'authority' and 'identity' acquire great pertinence. Taking a look at most of the problems that we face today, brings to mind a phrase, which I feel will best reflect the situation as 'identity crisis'. One's identity can be asserted at the cost of the other that constitutes the current problems which take different names and forms like the so called 'war against terrorism', 'casteism', 'patriarchy' and 'communal riots'.
