"Multicellular organisms grow through both proliferation and growth of their individual cells," scientists in France explained.

S. Raisin and colleagues at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) "conducted a P-element-based misexpression screen for genes whose upregulation alters wing disc growth during development" in D. melanogaster.
