Spanish water theme park operator Parques Reunidos SA may ride a surging stock price right into a deal with Boston buyout firm Advent International Corp.

The Madrid-based company announced Tuesday, Sept. 16, that it has agreed to provide information to Advent's Global Private Equity LP, which is contemplating a cash offer for 100% of the company. The company had a market capitalization of [Euro]147.2 million ($164.4 million) as of Sept. 15.

Parques Reunidos had long been ignored by investors. But shares in the company, which manages 19 water parks, zoos and amusement parks across Spain, hit a two-and-half-year high …
