Philadelphia Students Receive Scholarships; Penndelphia Foundation Celebrates its Tenth Anniversary.
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Penndelphia Scholarship Foundation (PSF) has awarded 10 college scholarships to Philadelphia area residents, bringing to a total of 89 deserving students helped over the last 10 years.
"Building a scholarship organization from the ground up hasn't always been easy," noted PSF president Terry A. Williamson. "But the perseverance has paid off in the 89 young students we've been able to help over the last 10 years." He pointed out that the tenth anniversary year also has special significance in that the foundation has a new relationship as a sanctioned scholarship organization by the Army/Navy Host Committee as a means to fulfill its obligation for community service.
The 10 students who will receive $1,000 scholarships are: Joey Lena Boden, Mutiara Hadi, Shalena Heard, Nhung Hoang, Anju Jacob, LyMay Kouai, Wendy Le, Jenny Laguerre and Shakel…
