The Solus Club has voted to preserve its exclusively male status and to continue its policy of not admitting women members.

The result of a ballot held by one of the UK's oldest advertising dining clubs is due to be formally announced at its annual meeting next Thursday.

However, Campaign understands that members have voted narrowly to keep the ban on women members.
