POP GOES THE GIBBES: The Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting St., is melding pop art with pop chic fashion at a party Sept. 27 to celebrate its exhibits "The Human Comedy: Portraits by Red Grooms" and "Works by Warhol: From the Corcoran Collection." Special guest will be Red Grooms himself.

The festivities go from 8 p.m. to midnight in the Gibbes courtyard. There will be food and dancing, and retro-chic attire is certainly in line for the occasion. Tickets are $70 per person. To reserve a ticket, call 722-2706, ext. 26, or contact membership@gibbesmuseum.org.
