Pointing to previously adopted regulations on AIDS education, the New York State Catholic Conference has called on the state's Board of Regents to take action at their next regular meeting to prohibit the distribution of condoms in public schools.
"Earlier regulations adopted by the Regents on AIDS education wisely required that schools stress abstinence as the most appropriate and effective premarital protection against AIDS," said J.
