Vestar Inc. announced the public offering of 2 million shares of its common stock at $7.50 per share.

Net proceeds from this offering are expected to be used primarily to broaden the current commercialization activities of the company's first product, AmBisome, including expanding its sales force in Europe, and to expand the clinical development of its second product, DaunoXome, which has shown encouraging results in clinical trials in patients with Kaposi's sarcoma, a cancer that affects AIDS patients.
