Mathisen Playing For No. 3 Grayson County

Carla Mathisen, a 3-point specialist for Grayson County (Texas) College, is expected to be on the University of New Mexico campus this weekend visiting the women's basketball coaches.

"She's a deep 3-point shooter," says Jim Brock, coach of the nation's No. 3 junior college team. "They say that's what they (the Lobos) need, and she can do that."

Mathisen, a sophomore from Australia, connected on 44 percent of her 3-pointers this past season and scored 13.8 points a game on a team that went 11 deep and scored 96.8 points a game.
