Board Now Wants To Begin in January
In a morass of money and tears, the troubled Academy for Technology and Classics ceased at least temporarily Monday night at a meeting of the school's governing board.
The charter school was originally scheduled to open Sept. 11, but as of Monday night it still lacked a building, a complete curriculum and other components necessary to run a school.
At the request of the tentative school's staff, the board vowed to shoot for opening the school in January.
