The Academy for Technology and the Classics may or may not open its doors come Sept. 11, depending on who you ask.
With less than a week to save its charter, the planned new school has checked off most of the 20 corrective actions mandated by Santa Fe Public Schools for it to open. But anxiety remains high.
The charter school for grades seven through 12 still lacks a building and someone to maintain its day-to-day operations.
"It may open, but I don't think it will open Sept. 11," co-founder Anita Gerlach said. "It's in serious jeopardy at this point."
