Registration for the 2000-2001 school year is almost over.

A parent or guardian must accompany students to register for Santa Fe Public Schools.

All students returning to the same schools must verify their address by bringing a utility bill or telephone bill.

All new students must bring a utility bill and immunization record. All kindergartners must bring a birth certificate, immunization record and utility bill.

Registration forms for new students are available at the schools and the Educational Services Center, 610 Alta Vista St.

Here is the registration schedule:

* Santa Fe Public Schools registration for elementary and middle schools will be held Tuesday at each individual school.

Last names starting with A-M will register from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and names beginning with N-Z from noon to 3 p.m.

* Capital High School registration ends today.

* Santa Fe High School registration ends today.

Students wishing to apply to the SER/SFPS Career Academy can pick up an application at the school, 2516 Cerrillos Road, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays. The alternative public school allows high school dropouts and teen-age parents to earn academic credits at their own pace.
