Organizers Aim For Individual Attention

Two ambitious charter schools won approval Wednesday from the Albuquerque school board.

The Learning Community Charter School seeks to give each of a maximum of 600 students individual attention, with each child given a customized education plan. And the Robert F. Kennedy Charter School will seek troubled youngsters who want to escape a life of drugs or crime.

The two charter schools are the fourth and fifth approved by the board this fall. Along with the four charter schools in operation this year, when school opens in August 2001 there will be nine charter…
