His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei meets Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad in Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur, on August 22, 2003. The Sultan is on a four-day official visit.

A glimmer of hope surfaced yesterday in ending the ongoing conflicting maritime territorial claims by Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, when His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam met with Dato Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia for talks at Putrajaya in the Malaysian capital.
