Gasoline prices leaped 4% on the New York Mercantile Exchange Friday, as continued supply disruptions at a big refinery intensified concerns about shrinking stockpiles.

The rally also pumped up the prices of other energy products - except natural gas, where an upward surge collapsed when traders balked at a key resistance level.
