will launch satellite radio to homes
XM and Sirius Satellite Radio are the only firms that have licenses from the Federal Communications Commission to provide the service. Satellite radio has fewer commercials and promises less signal interference. For $9.95 a month the two providers will beam 100 channels of programs to cars and homes. XM will offer it by mid-2001. Sirius will offer it this month.
