The law firm of Peter Angelos, who helped win $4.2 billion in damages from tobacco firms, said he hasn't formulated a plan yet to sue mobile phone companies, Britain's Financial Times reported. AOL, rivals still argue on merger
In the latest obstacle to the proposed merger of America Online and Time Warner, rivals are lobbying the Federal Communications Commission furiously over instant messaging. AT&T, Microsoft and others want AOL to open up its industry-leading instant messaging service to those of competitors. AOL and Time Warner had hoped to close their merger before the end of the year. They agreed to let rival Internet service providers use their cable systems to win approval from the Federal Trade Commission.
