Everybody has sources, whether they're a next-door neighbor or a talking head on TV.
But when it comes to looking for the next great stock, who are you going to follow? Your own analysis or someone else's advice?
Like most things in life, great stocks aren't handed to you on a silver platter. Finding the next big winner takes work.
Don't confuse spending hours trolling Internet chat rooms and message boardswith meaningful research.
It's easy to find people offering advice on the Web, whether free or for a fee. But their intentions aren't always pure. And buying stocks based on tips and touts can lead you in the wrong direction.
