Does it seem like you've been listening to the same music from the same artists for years? It's easy to fall into a musical rut.

The Internet can broaden your musical horizons. Music suggestion sites help you find new music by tapping complex databases. These databases figure out which artists -- some of whom you probably won't recognize -- may appeal to you.

Second of two parts

It's not as spooky as it sounds. For instance, type in "Bruce Springsteen" and the sites can tell you which artists were influenced by the Boss and which ones he drew from. Some sites can also help you find new music to listen to based on what other Springsteen fans are listening to.

One such site is Gigabeat.com. To take full advantage of the site, you'll want to first register -- that's free.
