Gerald Barnes isn't just the new general manager of any Neiman Marcus department store. Barnes is the new general manager of "the" Neiman Marcus store; the flagship of the company in downtown Dallas.

Barnes was named vice president, general manager of the downtown Neiman Marcus this month, a position that gives him responsibility for everything: from everyone who works there, to everyone who shops there, to the merchandise sold there.
