Spy shots stir 'Stang worries
The 2005 Mustang show cars are exciting, but since their introduction, word (along with your July 21 spy photos) keeps getting out about a "few changes'' for production. Gone are the glass roof, the race-inspired seats, aluminum gas cap and the modern yet retro interior. And the hood scoops go only on the Cobra. Looking at your spy photos, the center exhausts are gone, replaced by a standard muffler and tailpipe on the right side.
We may be left with another uninspired, watered-down design.

I outran JPM and got away with it
The French police must have followed Juan Montoya out of the gate at Magny-Cours to catch him going that slowly (130 mph in an 80-mph zone) and take his driver's license. I rented an M5 on a business trip, and on the autoroute from Paris to Pau, a back-seater converted the kilometers and informed me I was doing 140-plus mph. I was duly impressed until a big Mercedes passed us like we were doing the speed limit.
