State denies Powell will quit
The State Dept. denied a report that Secretary of State Colin Powell will leave his post after President Bush's current term. The Washington Post reported Monday that Powell's deputy, Richard Armitage, told the White House he and Powell would leave Jan. 21, 2005. A spokesman for State said Powell and Armitage "serve at the pleasure of the president, and will continue to do so."
