Corporate lawyers fear new rules
90% of U.S. corporate lawyers fear their clients might not talk if the SEC expands a new code of conduct they must follow starting today, an Int'l Bar Association survey found. The code requires a lawyer who finds wrongdoing in a firm to alert top management. Some 62% of lawyers expect it to affect them; 26% say it'll increase legal costs.
