Prophylaxis for mycoses is the next frontier for a variety of immune-compromised patient populations, according to noted mycologist John Graybill, MD, of Audie Murphy VA Hospital, San Antonio, Texas.

Speaking to an audience of experts at the Focus on Fungal Infections conference held in Phoenix, Arizona, Graybill said that "in five years, prophylaxis for fungal infection will probably be widespread."
