about hairy case of espionage
The consumer product giants discussed P&G's covert efforts to gain details about Unilever's hair care products, which include Finesse and Thermasilk. P&G could end up paying tens of millions of dollars to Unilever or facing a long court battle, Fortune Magazine said. A source said the stolen data concerned marketing and brand plans.
Sara Lee knew of tainted meat
Managers at the Bil Mar food plant in Michigan likely knew hot dogs and deli meats were tainted months before a 1998 listerosis outbreak that killed 15 people, according to an Agriculture Department report cited by The Detroit Free Press. In June, Sara Lee pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor.
