Everest Re Group more than tripled in price in just a year, then fell into its current base in late December. The stock has slowly worked its way back to within 4% of its old high as it has formed a fairly flat 26-week base.

The Bermuda-based holding company provides reinsurance to property and casualty insurers. Reinsurance involves one company insuring another. Everest also offers other services, such as workers' compensation and liability insurance. The company was featured in "The New America" on June 18.

Earnings growth has ranged from 13% to 20% in the last three quarters. Analysts expect quarterly earnings growth of 15% …
