AT&T Wireless expects weak '02
The wireless firm sees weaker operating cash flow growth and warned service revenue growth excluding recent acquisition TeleCorp will slightly weaken. AT&T Wireless cited the recession and more competition. But it expects to do better in the 2nd half. AT&T Wireless fell 1.49, or 15%, to 8.60.
Sprint sets loan, hires advisers
The long-distance firm lined up a $1 bil loan, allaying investor fears of a cash crunch. Sprint hired investment bankers to help weigh a possible sale of its directory publishing unit. The loan is secured by the yellow pages business. But Standard & Poor's said it's eyeing Sprint's debt.
DoCoMo expands in mobile push
Japan's top cell phone operator debuted on the New York and London stock markets. NTT DoCoMo will introduce its "i-mode" service to Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands in two months.
