Internet browsing software is constantly changing.
The latest browsers -- Internet Explorer 6.0 and Netscape 6.2 -- offer more features than before. And if neither has what you're looking for, alternatives exist. It's worth finding out what your options are.
If you just bought a computer with Microsoft Corp.'s Windows XP operating system, Internet Explorer 6.0 came installed. To use Netscape, you have to download it from the Netscape Web site and install it.
That's free and fairly easy to do, but it can be slow if you don't have a speedy broadband Internet connection.
The two browsers are much more similar than they used to be. But there are subtle differences, and that could determine which browser you choose. You'll also want to consider other factors, such as security and compatibility.
