AT&T to review CEO role, FT says
Ma Bell may create a special committee to eye possible conflicts of interest by Chairman and CEO Michael Armstrong, The Financial Times said. Armstrong is slated to become chairman of AT&T Comcast, from the merged AT&T Broadband and Comcast. But he's expected to stay in his current role at AT&T until the deal is OK'd. The committee, likely announced in Jan., will be made up of nonexecutive directors, FT said.
AT&T long-distance customers will pay 16% more for a fee that helps fund Net access in schools.
