No one knows where the U.S. will turn next in the war on terrorism. Strong action against Iraq or Somalia will likely dominate headlines in this new year.
Congress and the White House also have other unfinished business to keep them busy. Homeland security and the economy top the list. Trade, Social Security, regulatory changes and a truly new world war will come later.
And all debate will be colored by November's midterm elections. Hang on. It could be a wild ride.
