Twelve minutes after the second plane crashed into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, iJet Travel Intelligence told its clients that airports in New York were closing. The firm recommended that anyone staying in a New York hotel room reserve additional nights.
Annapolis, Md.-based iJet provides information 24 hours a day, seven days a week on safety, security, health, culture, weather and five other key areas. It has raised $18.8 million in venture capital and has 60 full-time employees.
