Business hails China trade status

The U.S. business sector welcomed President Bush's decision to grant normal trade status to China, saying it will take the gamble out of dealing with the communist nation. China's tariffs on U.S.-made goods will fall from an average 25% to 9% by 2005. Duties on American farm goods will drop from 31% to 14%.
