Terrorism: The war on terrorism has taken a back seat in India and Pakistan as they inch toward war with each other.
After its Parliament was attacked by suicide gunmen Dec. 13, India immediately said Pakistan was behind the militants who carried out the attack. Pakistan denies the charge. Still, the escalating dispute is marked -- just as is the war on terrorism -- by a willingness of Islamic radicals to use violence to further their ends.
What is different about this dispute is that it pits Muslims not against the West per se, but against Hindus and the power structure in New Delhi.
