Nothing seems to faze Brian Roberts, president of family-run cable TV firm Comcast Corp.
ExciteAtHome Corp., its partner in offering high-speed Internet to homes, went bankrupt in September.
And the top two U.S. satellite TV broadcasters this week revealed plans to merge, creating a much tougher rival.
Then there's the slowing economy and the aftermath of Sept. 11.
All of this may pose problems for Comcast, the third-biggest cable TV firm. But Roberts says Comcast is in its best shape ever.
"We're pretty optimistic about the business," Roberts said Tuesday in a conference call with analysts.
