Digital cameras are selling like hot cakes.
Consumers bought 1.23 million of them in the first quarter of 2002, says the research firm NPD Techworld. That's up 28% over the same period last year.
But using a digital camera is only half the fun. Once you start snapping away, you're going to want to share your photos on-screen with family and friends.
Fortunately, there are several neat software packages to handle the task.
They range from digital photo albums, which let you flip from page to page using a mouse, to programs that get a lot more creative.
One program from a small company called Micro Research Institute Inc. displays photos in what looks like an art gallery.
