Turner reportedly axed AOL CEO
An angry outburst by media mogul Ted Turner, the largest individual shareholder in AOL Time Warner, was key in ousting Gerald Levin as the firm's chief, Vanity Fair reported. Turner accused Levin last full of destroying AOL Time Warner, demoralizing staff and encouraging a rivalry between its AOL and Time Warner units, the magazine said. Levin stepped aside in May.
