President of Disney's ABC resigns

Steven Bornstein quit as president of its ABC network after less than a year on the job. Disney President Robert Iger last week said ABC needed attention as it has struggled in the ratings. No successor was named. Bornstein had held many jobs at Disney, including CEO of ESPN and president of ABC Sports.

Omnicom Q1 rose 31%, met view

The advertising giant earned 68 cents a share. Sales climbed 8% to $1.73 bil. U.S. revenue grew 14% to $1 bil. International sales edged up 1% to $710.3 bil. Omnicom, whose major clients include beverage giant Pepsi and automaker DaimlerChrysler, continued to slide.
