Daily TV habit linked to violence

A Columbia University study found that 5.7% of kids who watched less than an hour a day committed aggressive acts against other people in later years. That's compared to 22.5% of those who watched from one to three hours a day and 28.8% of those who watched three or more hours of TV.

'01 air crashes led to 530 deaths

Half of those victims were killed in the Sept. 11 attack. There were 36 crashes or accidents involving scheduled airline service vs. 51 in '00, the National Transportation Safety Board said. But the fatality figure was the highest for accidents involving U.S. carriers since '77.
